With a starting value of 200 and a rate of 15%, the percentage amount is 30. Discount mode gives a final value of 170; increase mode gives 230. Choose the mode that matches your question: a percentage amount and a final total are different results.
Check the base
Do not add successive discounts: 20% off 200 leaves 160; a further 10% off 160 leaves 144. To check, first enter 200 and 20, then use 160 and 10 for the second calculation.
